Tanner Scoresby entered 2025 full of hope and momentum. Fresh off a standout senior football season, he looked ahead to a promising run in basketball and track. With his 18th birthday, graduation, and the opportunity to serve an LDS mission on the horizon, the future seemed bright and full of possibility.
When basketball season tipped off, Tanner began noticing something wasn’t right. He found himself short of breath on the court, brushing it off at first as nothing more than a lingering chest cold—or maybe even pneumonia.”
He was diagnosed with cancer on the day before his birthday.
Initially, the prognosis was promising. He began 5 months of chemo to shrink the mass. Right after his graduation, he was informed that the chemo had been unsuccessful...a treatment used for the last 20 years successfully on all but 4-5 people.
Tanner then began a 5 day treatment of a very intense chemo, in hopes to kill the cancer.
